We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our dedicated team. This role involves working in diverse settings, including acute care, home care, and pediatrics, to support individuals in managing pain and improving their overall well-being. The Therapist will utilize their expertise in medical terminology and medication administration while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their therapeutic needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's specific conditions, including pain management strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of services across different settings.
Educate patients and their families about treatment options, self-care strategies, and the importance of adherence to prescribed therapies.
Participate in ongoing research initiatives aimed at improving therapeutic practices and patient outcomes.
Stay current with advancements in medical terminology and therapy techniques relevant to acute care, home care, and pediatrics.
Experience
A degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, occupational therapy) is required; licensure or certification as applicable is preferred.
Previous experience in acute care or home care settings is highly desirable.
Familiarity with pain management techniques and pediatric therapy practices is a plus.
Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration processes is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
