We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Osteopath to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in hospital settings, research, and acute care. This role involves providing holistic treatment to patients, focusing on pain management, pediatrics, and overall well-being. The Osteopath will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive healthcare services, utilizing medical terminology and advanced electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify musculoskeletal issues and other health concerns
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on pain relief, mobility improvement, and overall health optimization
Administer manual therapy techniques, including osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT)
Document patient interactions accurately using electronic health records systems such as Epic and Cerner
Collect relevant data for research purposes to support evidence-based practice and continuous improvement
Assist with medication administration and monitor patient responses in various care settings, including home care environments
Collaborate with healthcare professionals across departments to coordinate patient care plans
Provide patient education on injury prevention, lifestyle modifications, and health maintenance strategies
Support pediatric patients with age-specific treatment approaches when necessary
Requirements
Valid licensure as an Osteopath with appropriate state certification
Prior hospital experience preferred, especially in acute care or pain management settings
Experience in pediatrics and home care is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner
Background in research or data collection to support clinical decision-making and quality improvement initiatives
Experience in medication administration within a clinical setting
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments
Prior medical office experience is advantageous but not required
