In this role, you will be working in collaboration with Design team to complete various tasks within the domain of Telecommunication Outside Plant Engineering as

OSP Designer

. Your primary responsibility will be to plan optimal routes for the various type of designs ( for example FTTH , Hubs etc ), prepare redlines and communicate with clients. This opportunity will allow you to establish a real-world understanding of shallow and deep utility rules and regulations, and help you familiarize yourself with the industry standard and procedures. IVYBAUD Inc. will also require the selected candidate to have good verbal and written communication skills, ability to work as a team player, ready to take initiative and have excellent organizing skills.

On the outside-You will help to complete the project life-cycle

Must have working experience with Telecommunication vendors of Canada on outside plant engineering Prepare and check feasibility of each design on the planning stage and provide cost-effective solutions Willing to take part in consortium meetings, site visits, developers and end-client meetings to bring everyone on the same page for the proposed design Reaching out to multiple resources within the value chain to ensure a smooth transition of design on each stage

On the Inside-You will help as a team lead

Planning on each job using various tools to propose the best design possible Manage, coordinate, and oversee project work assigned to individuals within the team. Perform technical reviews of each design, track, and manager design deliverables. Prepare redlines, create quotes and material list Collaborating with team members from other departments to overcome challenges and issues Preparing the team for occasional off-site meetings, site visits, and field inspections.

Qualification and Good-to-haves

Graduate of a technology program (Preferred civil or electrical) Working Experience in PON (GPON / FTTH) networks or HFC broadband networks at the design stage Familiarity of various stages of design (for example Issued for review to issues for construction) Knowledge of greenfield and brown filed residential design and commercial developments. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat with an aptitude for computer proficiency

Required to qualify

You have at least 3 years to 5 years of OSP design experience Strong understanding of different transport mediums (copper, fiber, coaxial etc) You enjoy working towards deadlines instead of 8.00am to 4.00pm environment You have valid document to work in Canada You are willing to produce criminal background check , police clearance and driver's abstract (if Asked).

Job Type:

Contract (6 months , to be revised accordingly)

Pay

: $23.00- $27.00 per hour

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
