Ornamental Steel Fitter for Railings (Stainless Steel exp.) :

Our company is looking for an experienced

Ornamental Fitter (with Stainless Steel exp.)

to join our team. The candidate will be reading blueprints and assembling steel parts and fitting them together. they will also assess welds to ensure they are clean, free of error and in accordance with relevant welding codes. The major qualities needed to succeed on this job include technical, measurement, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts of ornamental metal products according to blueprint and layout specifications

Fabricate and assemble ornamental steel products such as braces, posts plates, stairs and railings Operate brazing and soldering equipment. Compute dimensions, plan layout and determine method and sequence of operations during the manufacturing process. Operate manual or semi automatic flame cutting equipment. Safely operate overhead cranes

Requirements:

Minimum 4 Years experience in Fitting

High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.

MUST Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.

Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment. Operate brazing and soldering equipment. Be responsible for achieving the desired quality level Solid grasp of spoken English Ability to work independently or with light supervision Strong mathematical aptitude and problem-solving skills Manual Dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination Able to stand for extended periods of time and handle heavy loads (up to 50lbs)

Pay will be based on experience

Benefits: after 3 months' probation

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm

Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm (44hrs/wk.)

Location: Brampton, ON

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
