Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and disciplined coach to lead our Junior Athletes programming at our Orleans location, focusing on Multi-Sport activities and Pickleball. This role requires an individual who can manage diverse athletic drills and maintain high engagement across multiple sporting disciplines. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering structured technical instruction, ensuring participant safety, and fostering a productive environment for skill development.

Shift Schedule

Saturdays:

08:40 - 11:30 am (Times TBD)

Duties and Responsibilities

Multi-Sport Instruction:

Lead varied athletic sessions (e.g., floor hockey, volleyball, or track drills) alongside dedicated Pickleball coaching.

Technical Drills:

Demonstrate and instruct on Pickleball fundamentals, including serving, volleying, and court positioning.

Class Management:

Maintain discipline and safety for groups of children, ensuring efficient transitions between different sports.

Logistics:

Handle the setup and teardown of sports equipment (nets, paddles, balls, etc.) within the designated shift time.

Evaluation:

Provide clear feedback to participants and communicate effectively with parents regarding child progress.

Qualifications

Technical Skill:

Competency in Pickleball and a broad understanding of various team sports.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience coaching or instructing children in a recreational or competitive setting.

Reliability:

Consistent availability for Saturday morning shifts at the Orleans location.

Compliance:

Valid First Aid/CPR certification and a cleared Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS).

Communication:

Ability to provide concise instruction and manage group dynamics independently.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 5 per week
