Teck is looking for a skilled leader to join our team at Trail Operations, one of the world\'s largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Organizational Effectiveness (OE) Lead (internally known as HR Superintendent, Organizational Effectiveness) is responsible for implementing the OE system and processes which have been designed to achieve our strategic goals by creating conditions for having the right people, doing the right work at the right time, to the required standard.

We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and results-focused leader with excellent interpersonal, influencing, and decision-making abilities. This role requires someone with strong change management, problem-solving, and time management skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This role is in the welcoming community of Trail, situated in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Here you will find outdoor adventure at your fingertips! Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Facilitate the implementation and continuous improvement of organizational effectiveness principles and processes which include Organization Design, Managerial Levels of Work, Common Accountabilities, Managerial Leadership, Cross-Functional Relationships, and Capability
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels and clearly articulate the organizational effectiveness system and processes providing direction and building trust
  • Train and coordinate with managers for implementation and compliance with organizational effectiveness principles and practices
  • Monitor the various organizational effectiveness processes and provide input into the maturing of the organizational effectiveness system
  • Lead and manage change with a structured approach to achieve organizational alignment and support employees adopting new ways of working
  • Partner with the business functions to identify areas of improvement in organizational development and effectiveness
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field required
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Human Resources or Continuous Improvement
  • Broad understanding of organizational design, organizational effectiveness and change management
  • Advanced analytical, problem solving and decision-making abilities a must
  • Experience in an industrial environment
  • CHRP or CHRL designation strongly preferred
  • Excellent data management and analytical skills
