Your role:

Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently Conduct accurate order picking by selecting items based on order sheets or digital instructions Use basic math skills to verify quantities and measurements during order fulfillment Assist in loading and unloading shipments using appropriate equipment (forklifts) Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency Check invoices and verify correct product is provided Assist with the daily upkeep of the yard, including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly

What we're looking for:

Ability to lift 50 pounds Knowledge of building materials is an asset

Qualifications

:

Prior experience in warehouse distribution or order picking is preferred Mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts, or similar equipment is highly desirable Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly and stand for extended periods Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying orders Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in order selection Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions effectively Physical ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards
