Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Oracle HCM Payroll Specialist
to join our consulting practice. This role is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and ongoing support of Oracle Cloud Payroll and Absence Management. The successful candidate will work directly with client stakeholders--CHROs, CFOs, Payroll Directors, and HRIS Managers--to design, test, and deploy payroll solutions that ensure compliance and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead discovery sessions with clients to capture payroll and absence requirements.
Configure payroll elements, balances, costing rules, and fast formulas in Oracle Cloud.
Manage payroll interfaces, integrations, and reports.
Support quarterly patching activities, regression testing, and compliance updates.
Troubleshoot payroll errors and scope transfer issues, escalating as needed.
Provide Application Managed Services (AMS) support post-implementation.
Deliver documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to client teams.
Mentor junior consultants and support project delivery excellence.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with
Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll
.
Proven expertise in payroll configuration (elements, balances, costing, fast formulas).
Strong working knowledge of
Absence Management
and
OTL (Time & Labor)
.
Experience supporting
quarterly patching
and regression testing cycles.
Demonstrated ability to analyze payroll issues and design compliant solutions.
Strong client-facing communication and consulting skills.
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with large-scale payroll rollouts (500-5,000 employees).
Familiarity with multi-jurisdiction payroll compliance (Canada and US).
Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment.
Oracle HCM Cloud Certification(s) considered an asset.
