to design, implement, and deploy multiple Planning and Budgeting models (Workforce, CAPEX, Projects) within the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite. The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise in corporate finance, financial modeling, and a proven track record of architecting and deploying
Cloud Planning and Budgeting
solutions. This role is critical in helping the organization make data-driven, long-term strategic decisions.
The Work:
Planning and Budgeting Design and Architecture
Serve as the
Planning Consultant
for Oracle Planning and Budgeting projects, designing the model structure, dimensions, flow, and integration points.
Participate in the
full lifecycle implementation
of Planning and Budgeting, from requirements gathering and blueprinting to configuration, testing, and deployment.
Design and build
Planning models
, including:
Job and Position based Workforce Planning
CAPEX Planning
Projects Planning
Integration & Data Management
Oversee the
integration of Planning and Budgeting
with other EPM modules, primarily
Financial Close and Consolidations (FCCS)
and
Enterprise Data Management Cloud Services (EDMCS).
Design data mappings and transformations using
Data Management
or other integration tools to move actuals and plan data into and out of Planning and Budgeting.
Manage metadata, security configurations, and business rules specific to the Planning and Budgeting environment.
Business Partnership & Governance
Act as the
Advisor
to senior Finance and Executive leadership (VP of Finance, Director of FP&A) on leveraging the Planning and Budgeting models for workforce expenses, capital, and projects planning.
Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to define key drivers, assumptions, and reporting requirements.
Develop governance standards and documentation for the maintenance and evolution of the environment.
Leadership & Mentorship
Manage offshore/onshore resources, providing technical and functional guidance.
Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for business power users and the support team.
Drive continuous improvement efforts to optimize the performance and usability of the applications.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
Experience:
Minimum of
5 years of experience
in Corporate Finance/Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
Minimum of
3 years of hands-on, architect-level experience
with
Oracle EPM Cloud Planning and Budgeting
or its predecessor,
Hyperion Planning
.
Demonstrated experience leading at least
2 full-cycle implementations
.
Technical Expertise:
Expertise in
Strategic Modeling configuration
, including model setup, scenario management, goal-seeking, and sensitivity analysis.
Familiarity with integration touchpoints between Planning and Budgeting and other EPM applications (FCCS, EDMCS, PCMCS, etc).
English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.
Bonus Points if
Relevant Oracle Cloud EPM Certification.
Experience with
Groovy scripting
for advanced calculations or data automation within the EPM ecosystem.
Familiarity with financial data visualization tools (e.g., Oracle Analytics Cloud).
