May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

We are hiring experienced consultants to join our North American Utilities Consulting team. Preferred candidates will have functional architecture and design skills along with experience implementing customer, metering, and billing solutions for utility (electric, gas, water) customers. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in our leading-edge Oracle Utilities SaaS solutions:

• Customer Cloud Service: full customer-to-meter solution
• Meter Solution Cloud Service: meter data management
• Billing Cloud Service: billing
• Customer Care & Billing Cloud Service: CC&B in the cloud

Though currently the majority of our work is done remotely, this position may require 50 to 60% travel in the future based on client and project needs.

This role will provide technical and functional solution leadership on Oracle Utilities implementation projects. In this role, you will work directly with client business sponsors and leads to ensure focus on business case objectives, leveraging best practice processes across the solution, and scope management. Internally you will coordinate across the various delivery architects to ensure cohesive, consistent solutions and deliverables.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing utilities industry best practice and multi-product Oracle solutions, through global engagements in Oracle Utilities implementations in North America
• Providing leadership to our implementation teams by promoting consistency across the team, including methodology, deliverable templates, terminology, etc
• Serving our clients as a trusted advisor, leveraging best practices in the industry with Oracle solutions
• Developing key relationships within Oracle by providing field feedback to our R&D team and providing direct support to our sales teams
• Promoting, creating, and encouraging the use of the reusable collateral/accelerators
• Knowledge sharing across peer group
• Providing leadership and guidance in defining the overall solution landscape and strategy for our clients
• Partnering with client business leadership to educate their organization on key changes to current business processes

Qualifications

• CIS or MDM design or functional architect experience on multiple full lifecycle implementations
• Utility industry experience is required, either as a full time employee or a billable consultant
• 5+ years overall relevant professional experience, including 5+ years in consulting or with a systems integrator
• Strong desire for career growth within Oracle
• Ability to learn quickly - if you do not have direct experience with Oracle Utilities solutions, we will train you!
