Duties
Manage and oversee daily operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth workflow across administrative and clinical teams
Supervise, train, and support optometric technicians and front desk staff
Develop and implement schedules to optimize patient flow and staff coverage
Ensure accuracy and compliance in patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Oversee front desk operations, including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient communication
Collaborate with optometrists to maintain high standards of patient care and clinical efficiency
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate the ordering of supplies, contact lenses, and equipment
Handle patient concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner
Support practice growth initiatives, including staff training in sales techniques for eyewear and contact lenses
Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws, and clinic policies
Skills
Proven leadership and supervisory experience, preferably in a medical or optometry setting
Strong knowledge of clinic operations, optical terminology, and EMR systems (e.g., Visual-Eyes)
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead staff and engage with patients
Sales and retail management experience is an asset
Ability to handle conflict resolution and problem-solving effectively
Knowledge of pediatric and general optometry services is advantageous
Previous management experience in a healthcare or retail environment preferred
Must be available to work evenings and weekends as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.18-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week
