We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our associates team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. The Optometrist will utilize advanced electronic health record systems and contribute to the overall well-being of patients through expert eye care and education.
Duties
Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and eye health
Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate treatments based on patient needs
Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including those affecting pediatric and senior patients
Utilize medical terminology accurately for documentation and communication with healthcare teams
Maintain detailed patient records
Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and available treatment options
Assist in sales of eyewear products and accessories to enhance patient satisfaction and practice revenue
Stay current with advancements in optometry practices and participate in ongoing professional development
Experience
Proven experience as an Optometrist or in a similar clinical setting with a focus on patient care
Experience working with pediatric populations and senior care is highly desirable
Familiarity with optical equipment and diagnostic tools
Prior use of EHR systems
Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
Ability to handle diverse cases with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail
