Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and senior care, ensuring exceptional patient care and fostering positive relationships. The Optometrist will utilize advanced technology such as Epic electronic health records to deliver efficient and accurate services. A strong background in optical experience, medical terminology, and sales is preferred to enhance patient satisfaction and practice growth.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough eye examinations and vision tests to assess patients' visual health Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, prescribing corrective lenses or medical treatments as needed Provide specialized care for pediatric and senior patients, tailoring approaches to meet their unique needs Educate patients on eye health, proper lens care, and available treatment options Utilize Epic electronic health records system for documentation and patient management Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient experience Engage in sales of eyewear products, accessories, and contact lenses to meet patient needs Stay current with advancements in optometry practices, optical products, and medical terminology

Skills

Proven optical experience with a strong understanding of eye care procedures Experience working with pediatric patients and senior care populations Excellent patient care skills with compassionate communication abilities Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to optometry practice Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system for efficient documentation Ability to effectively promote eyewear sales while maintaining ethical standards Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in clinical assessments and record keeping
