We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented

Optometry Assistant/Receptionist

to join our team and help us build a practice our community can count on.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and assist with check-in Guide patients through frame selection and eyeglass fitting Educate patients on contact lens care and usage Perform preliminary eye tests (visual acuity, color vision, etc.) Prepare examination rooms and sanitize equipment Assist the optometrist with eye exams and procedures Maintain accurate patient records Process insurance claims and manage billing inquiries Answer phone calls and help manage scheduling

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent Experience in retail, medical, or customer service preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting Basic knowledge of optometry or optical products is a plus Comfortable using computer systems and managing patient data

Schedule

Tuesday to Saturday 8-hour shifts No evenings

Location

Otineka Mall, Opaskwayak, MB -- must be able to reliably commute or relocate before starting work.

Pay

From $19.00 per hour, depending on experience
