Pre-Test Clinical Care Associate/Optometric Assistant role: Do you always strive to make a customer's experience memorable? Are you compassionate, patient and able to create an environment of comfort and ease? We are looking to expand our Pre-Test Clinical Care Associate team at our NW Calgary, Crowfoot location. The core of this position is to be compassionate and protective about our patient’s ocular health by performing diagnostic testing, along with gathering and documenting information to ensure key data is considered during examination. You are rewarded by truly caring about people through your direct involvement in their vision care. We require our team to respect each person's unique personality, perspective, circumstances, and needs. Mountain View Optometry works with highly specialized ground-breaking technologies, that allow us to provide our customers with a level of care that is second to none. This role requires you to learn and use these technologies while educating our clientele about the ocular health confirmations they can provide.
Skills and abilities:

  • Previous optometric experience is preferred but not required. Certified Optometric Assistant is an asset
  • Experience with an EMR or being “tech savvy” is required
  • Outgoing, individual who enjoys a fast paced, busy environment
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Creative thinking, problem-solving and investigative skills
  • The ability to build genuine and supportive relationships
  • Flexible availability, Monday to Saturday
  • Determined to continually improve, learn, be coached and challenged
  • Customer service experience and excellence required
