We are currently seeking a
Full-Time, Entry Level Optometric Assistant
to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment. While prior experience in an optical setting is an asset, we are open to training individuals who demonstrate strong communication skills, professionalism, and a genuine interest in patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist patients in a courteous and professional manner
Perform pre-testing and diagnostic screenings
Educate patients on eye health and proper eye wear care
Support frame selection and lens consultations
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling and administrative tasks
Contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient clinic environment
Collaborate effectively with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient experiences
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability
Comfortable working in a high intensity, patient-centered environment
Previous experience in optical or customer service is an asset, though not required for this role
Proficiency with basic computer systems and willingness to learn practice management software
