Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Optical Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, inspecting, and finishing optical lenses to meet precise specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in optical work, laboratory procedures, or retail sales within the optical industry. The technician will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality eyewear products and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Inspect lenses for quality, accuracy, and defects to ensure compliance with standards Performe precise frame fittings and adjustments while troubleshooting fit, comfort, and visual issues to ensure optimal patient satisfaction. Assist in the selection and fitting of lenses for customers, providing expert guidance when needed Manage inventory of optical materials and supplies to ensure smooth workflow Collaborate with opticians and sales staff to fulfill customer orders accurately and promptly Document production processes and maintain detailed records of work performed

Skills

Strong understanding of medical terminology related to vision care and optics Optical experience including knowledge of lens types, coatings, and fitting techniques is highly desirable Retail sales experience, especially in an optical or eyewear setting, is a plus Proven ability to work with precision tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and assist customers confidently

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour
