Summit Eyecare Centre is looking for a full-time optician/optical assistant immediately at our busy, professional eye care clinic. We are a caring, patient-focused work family and have been serving Kamloops since 1988. We are expanding and looking for more staff members to join our team.

The successful candidate will encompass the following characteristics:

-self-motivated problem solver who is a quick learner

-multi-task efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced office environment

-friendly and able to clearly communicate with our patients in person and by phone and email

-provide a positive and professional attitude towards patients and staff

-reliable and punctual

-maintain patient and office confidentiality without exception

Job description includes:

-educating patients on vision correction options

-frame selection, fitting, repair and dispensing of eyewear

-edging of lenses into frames and ordering of materials

-collecting payment and submitting direct billing insurance claims

Optical experience is preferred but we are happy to train the right candidate.

This position will be a 40 hour work week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday so you must be available to work on Saturday as well.
