The Senior Electrical Engineer is critical to the design, integration, and delivery of electrical systems for complex marine vessels. You will play a key role in supporting shipbuilding projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Lead the design and development of electrical systems for naval and commercial vessels.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, structural, and systems engineers.
Ensure compliance with classification society rules, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.
Provide technical oversight during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, and Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility.
Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in shipbuilding or marine systems.
Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems, power distribution, automation, and control systems.
Familiarity with CAD tools and electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
