Summary

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Toronto Retina Institute. In this role, you will play a vital part in assisting with patient examinations and ensuring the highest standards of care in our ophthalmology practice.

Responsibilities

Assist ophthalmologists during patient examinations and procedures. Perform diagnostic tests and gather patient history for accurate assessments. Maintain electronic medical records and ensure data accuracy. Provide exceptional patient care and support throughout their visit. Educate patients on procedures, treatments, and follow-up care. Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and handling inquiries.

Requirements

Experience as an ophthalmic technician or in a similar healthcare role is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to ophthalmology. Proficient in electronic medical records systems; experience with Epic is a plus. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
