Overview


We are looking to employ an energetic and friendly ophthalmic technician/assistant at the ophthalmology clinic.

The ideal candidate would need to have excellent attention to detail, good written spelling and grammar, comfort with computers and fast typing speed. It is a fast-paced environment. The needs of the clinic are ever changing and adaptability is a must to help the team thrive.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:



Performing initial workup of patients. The primary responsibility will be checking patient's visual acuity and inputting their history into an Electronic Medical Record Performing testing including autorefraction, non-contact tonometer and visual field testing. Training is provided and these machines are intuitive and easy to learn and operate. Maintaining patient records in a confidential manner and some administrative duties Keeping exam rooms and work area clean and tidy

Requirements:



Ability to work as part of the team and willingness to adapt to the changing needs of the clinic Pleasant personality, professionalism and excellent customer service skills are essential Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues Excellent computer skills

Hours:

28 - 40 hours per week

Salary:

$18-23 dollars per hour depending on qualifications and experience
