Ophthalmic Assistant

South Okanagan Eye Surgeons is a busy medical office looking for a professional, friendly, organized, and compassionate assistant to join our team.

The Ophthalmic Technician that will fill this position will be assisting the manager, physician and team members. To be considered for this position you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

Previous office and/or medical environment experience is desired. Knowledge of Accuro (EMR) is beneficial. The position entails interacting directly with the public/patients.

Computer knowledge.

Kind and compassionate, professional, and energetic.

Comfortable multitasking and willing to learn.

Excellent phone manner, communication and social skills are a must.

Team oriented and loves working with people.

Ophthalmic experience is an asset but will train the right applicant.

Working hours - 4 days per week. Monday to Thursday. 8:00am until 4:30pm.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 32 per week
