Job Description

AM EYES is an ophthalmology group hiring an ophthalmic assistant who is multilingual in English and Cantonese / Mandarin. The role is based out of our Markham office just off Hwy 404 and Steeles Ave.

The successful candidate takes a proactive attitude to their work in ensuring patient flow is smooth and doctors are supported.

Technical training will be provided.

Responsibilities:



Take patient history, visual acuity, eye pressure, and preliminary tests. Take diagnostic images using OCT, visual field, and other diagnostics devices. Inventory management and supply management. Document management of paper and digital documents. Coordinate and tracking referrals from external doctors, and respond to referrals. Calling software vendors and Ministry of Health to resolve issues that arises. Coordinating patient flow throughout the clinic, and support other staffs' roles as needed. May be required to call patients, hospitals, and external healthcare partners to coordinate patient care.
Preferences will be provided to those with vision care experience, and have experience working with visual fields, OCT, visual acuity, and autorefractors.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour
