We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic, diverse team in the role of Operations/Production Manager at our head office in Scoudouc, NB

This role will report to the VP of Operations
Key Responsibilities
Is responsible for overseeing the operations of a manufacturing plant from coordination to overall production. Their duties include managing day-to-day operations and developing strategies to create optimal plant performance.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production targets, optimize plant performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Operations Management: Oversee plant operations, including production scheduling, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse team of production staff, supervisors, and support personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations, standards, and company policies.
• Quality Control: Coordinate with the Quality department and ensure that a high quality product is being produced
• Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance department to develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of plant equipment and machinery.
• Customer Relations: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and efficiency improvements, implementing best practices and lean manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or related field required
• Proven experience in plant management or similar leadership roles in a manufacturing environment- 10 yrs experience
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and drive results.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control principles.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient computer skills, including MS Office.
Additional Requirements:
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed to support plant operations.
• Physical ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing for extended periods, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects.

Salary $90,000-$100,000
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
