About Us:

Stepping Stones Crisis Society is seeking an Operations Support Worker to join their team based out of Cold Lake. Stepping Stones is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by domestic violence and crisis situations. They offer a range of services, including emergency shelter, education, and advocacy, all aimed at empowering our clients to overcome their challenges and achieve long-term stability and safety.

Operations Support Worker

position is Monday to Friday (with some occasional weekends and evenings) and your days will bring a variety of responsibilities, which may include client support, reception, housekeeping, meal preparation, childcare activities, community programming, and other shelter operations. Daily tasks are planned according to the shelter's needs, and the role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt as priorities change.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcome clients and provide front-line support as needed. Perform reception duties, including answering phones and greeting visitors. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment through housekeeping tasks. Assist with meal preparation and kitchen duties. Support children's programs and activities. Help plan and assist with community programs and events. Perform general administrative or organizational tasks as required. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience in social services, childcare, or community programs is an asset. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Compassion, patience, and client-focused approach. Flexible and able toadapt as priorities change. Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Clear criminal record and child intervention check. Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
