As Operations Supervisor, you'll be at the centre of our storm response. You'll monitor live systems, track crews, and make quick decisions to keep operations on schedule. When issues arise, you'll delegate, problem-solve, and coordinate with other managers (equipment, HR, site supervisors) to ensure seamless service.
Outside of storms, you'll play a key role in the day-to day operation of the business, helping manage schedules, communications, and workflow. After each storm, you'll take ownership of reporting and analytics - including employee timing charts, damage documentation, phone call logs, and other performance reports.
Responsibilities and Duties
During storms:
Monitor dispatch, GPS, and route systems in real time
Ensure all routes are completed on time and documented properly
Reassign crews and equipment quickly when issues arise (breakdowns, delays, no-shows)
Communicate with site supervisors, equipment managers, and clients as needed
Lead, support, and motivate crews during long shifts
On regular days & post-storm:
Assist with the operation of daily business functions and scheduling
Review and chart employee hours and timing after each storm
Manage documentation of damages, phone call logs, and service records
Produce reports and analytics to evaluate performance and improve efficiency
Support the management team in ensuring smooth daily operations
Qualifications:
Strong multitasking skills (comfortable monitoring multiple screens/systems)
Calm under pressure and able to make fast decisions
Excellent communication and delegation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (charts, data analysis, reporting)
Tech-savvy and quick to learn new software/ systems
Organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven
Experience managing large, diverse, or seasonal teams
Willingness to work flexible/overnight shifts during snow events
Interest in possible extension into summer operations
