Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region (STSWR) Inc.

has been established as a consortium for the purposes of planning, managing, and providing pupil transportation for approximately 34,000 students of two of the school boards in the Region.

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operations of STSWR by supervising the administration, planning, implementation and delivery of the transportation services to the school community.

The Operations Supervisor leads the delivery of exceptional transportation services, participates in the interactions with School Board departments, transportation providers, city staff and other service providers. The candidate will provide support to implement safe and efficient transportation services in the Region. Using problem solving and conflict resolution skills, the Supervisor will ensure superior customer service is provided to internal and external customers. The Operations Supervisor manages a team of five Route Planners and one Executive Assistant.

Qualifications:

? Post-secondary degree/diploma in the logistics, GIS or related fields is required.

? Minimum 3 to 5 years of related experience.

? Established abilities utilizing routing software.

? Working knowledge of Windows-based software applications.

? Working knowledge of database interface, GPS tracking and other technology interfaces.

? Excellent communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills coupled with supervisory experience.

? Knowledge of the Region of Waterloo and school locations would be an asset.

? Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle required.

Compensation:

$96,160 to $113,130 annually, 35 hour work week
