Job Summary



Are you an experienced leader with a passion for healthcare operations? Success Solutions Home Health is seeking a dedicated Operations Manager to oversee our growing organization. This role is central to ensuring high-quality service delivery, smooth daily operations, and long-term strategic growth in alignment with our mission of supporting seniors and families across Victoria.

You will oversee all aspects of operations including service delivery, staff management, compliance, financial planning, and quality improvement. You will lead a team of administrative, scheduling, and care staff, ensuring that our services meet or exceed provincial regulations such as the BC Employment Standards Act and WorkSafeBC requirements.

This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on problem-solving.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise administrative, scheduling, and care staff; foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and accountability. Oversee service delivery, scheduling, client intake, care plans, and compliance with provincial regulations. Manage payroll preparation, timesheets, and operational budgets. Develop and maintain operational policies, procedures, and quality assurance systems. Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC health and safety requirements, incident reporting, and infection prevention. Train and support staff on digital platforms and scheduling software; identify efficiency opportunities. Monitor client satisfaction, address complaints, and represent the agency in community and industry events. Participate in rotating on-call coverage, responding to urgent client and staffing needs outside business hours. Prepare operational reports and performance indicators for review with the Owner/Operator. Facilitate/ assist with in-person orientation for new hires, ensure they understand policies and procedures, and company values. Provide ongoing training and mentorship to staff. Collaborate and work closely with HR, the Care Coordinator, and administrative staff to ensure seamless scheduling, client care planning, and compliance with provincial standards. Maintain On-Site Presence As Needed: Be available in office to support staff, handle real time operation challenges, and foster a positive and professional workplace. Facilitate team communication through planning and scheduling meetings, check-ins, and debriefs.

Qualifications and Experience



Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, HR, or a related field (required). Additional healthcare management or OHS training is an asset. Experience: 3-5 years of progressive leadership in healthcare, home health, senior care, or a related service industry. Demonstrated success in operations management, staff supervision, scheduling, and compliance. Experience managing payroll, budgets, and financial reporting. Previous involvement in quality improvement initiatives, policy development, or accreditation is an asset. Experience working collaboratively across various departments while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Skills & Competencies



Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with scheduling software, digital tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Sound judgment in managing urgent issues, client care concerns, or staffing challenges.

Other Requirements



Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule (including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays). Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred). Ability to work in office as needed.
