Under the direction of the Plant Manager, this role directs the daily operations of the production and maintenance departments, ensuring they run efficiently and safely while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

Champion a culture of safety by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting safe behaviors. Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in production and processing, including blow mold machine operators, maintenance mechanics, quality inspectors, and warehouse staff. Establish processes to ensure technicians respond quickly to mechanical needs. Organize and plan routine preventive maintenance of blow mold and packaging machines, as well as conveyor systems. Execute production schedules to meet both company and customer requirements. Provide guidance and direction to shift leaders to ensure efficient and timely plant operations. Maintain procedures to ensure accurate inventory management of finished goods and raw materials. Interview candidates, authorize personnel hires, and approve employment actions for plant staff. Lead problem-solving and process improvement initiatives with plant teams and customers to resolve and eliminate product issues. Support successful new product launches by ensuring clear specification development, process capability definition, and achievement of customer satisfaction during initial shipments.
Audit the facility to ensure compliance with GMP standards and maintain adherence to corporate quality requirements. Provide guidelines for timely repairs and efficient predictive and preventive maintenance of equipment and machinery. Routinely monitor shift and individual machine performance reports to ensure effective operations. Develop and enhance the knowledge and skills of staff and hourly employees; document training and development activities. Drive the execution of assigned projects, ensuring accurate and timely completion. Perform other duties as assigned by plant management.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations Management. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (an asset). 7+ years of experience in production management within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with an integrated management system (ERP). Bilingual (French and English) with strong verbal and written communication skills (intermediate level or higher). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong IT skills. Inspirational leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage teams. Proven experience in change management. Strong commitment to continuous improvement, health & safety, and quality. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
