Operations Manager
to oversee on-road operations and business administration. Reporting directly to the VP, this role will be central to driving operational excellence and supporting Wyngit's continued growth across Western Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily delivery operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and on-time performance.
Optimize workflows across dispatch, driver management, and loadout processes.
Develop and monitor KPIs to track performance, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Expansion & Growth
Lead the launch of new regional operations, including hiring, training, and onboarding delivery staff.
Coordinate with suppliers, cross-dock partners, and mid-mile providers to support new business units.
Develop scalable processes to support operations.
Team Management & Training
Hire, train, and mentor team members, from dispatch to delivery.
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews and implement engagement strategies to improve retention.
Technology & Process Improvement
Oversee the rollout and adoption of new logistics software, ensuring smooth integration with operations.
Identify opportunities for automation and improved efficiency in routing, communication, and reporting.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive operational innovation.
Business Oversight
Partner with senior leadership to evaluate new business opportunities and operational models.
Prepare operational reports and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or last-mile delivery operations.
University Education preferred in logistics, supply chain management, or business.
Proven success in scaling teams and launching new operations or business units.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in training and development.
Solid understanding of logistics technology platforms (e.g., routing, dispatch, and delivery tracking systems).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
