Busy Minds Education and Little Yogis Academy are Canada's leading youth enrichment brands, offering programs in yoga, mindfulness, dance, active play, and more. We bring enrichment programs to schools, childcares, camps, and community organizations with the goal of supporting children's physical, emotional, and social well-being.
We are seeking an
Operations Manager
to oversee the daily operations of our programs in the Toronto area. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who is highly organized, confident, and passionate about making a difference in children's lives.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Scheduling & Management
Schedule instructors for classes and events.
Provide ongoing communication, support, and retention strategies (via email)
Interviewing, Hiring & Training
Recruit, interview, and onboard new instructors.
Arrange kits and ensure staff are fully prepared for their first day.
Accompany new staff to their initial classes for training and consistency.
Operations & Logistics
Deliver and pick up kits and materials as needed.
Ensure instructors have the tools they need to succeed in their roles.
Client Outreach & Growth
Build and maintain relationships with existing clients.
Prospect and reach out to schools, childcares, and community organizations to grow programs.
Program Quality Control & Client Relations
Conduct in-person visits to schools and childcares to check in with clients and ensure program quality.
Be comfortable going into classrooms and engaging with educators and staff.
Step in to instruct classes if a staff member calls in sick.
Qualifications
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Confident communicator--comfortable with phone calls, emails, in-person meetings, and classroom visits.
Experience in staff scheduling, management, or operations is an asset.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Reliable access to a car (required).
Previous experience in education, childcare, or recreation is a plus.
Contract Details
Part-time role: 4-5 hours/day at $30/hour.
3-month probationary period
with performance review.
