About the Opportunity



We're seeking an

Operations Manager

to oversee our operations division, which includes:

Three product manufacturing lines (with dedicated supervisors/managers) Shipping & logistics Equipment management Four retail store locations
This role balances

big-picture leadership

with

hands-on problem solving

. You'll guide managers and supervisors, streamline workflows, improve performance, and ensure our teams are set up to deliver excellent results.

A key part of your success will be your ability to lead experienced staff through change. Many of our team members have been in the industry for years, and we're looking for someone who can earn trust quickly, listen with respect, and still bring the confidence to challenge existing processes. You'll approach operations with

curiosity

, observing carefully and asking the right questions to uncover opportunities for improvement while creating alignment across the division.

Key Responsibilities



Process Management

: Optimize workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Performance Monitoring

: Establish and track KPIs, analyze operational data, and prepare reports to provide suggestions in decision-making.

Resource Allocation

: Manage budgets, inventory, equipment, and staffing to support growth.

Safety & Compliance

: Maintain safe operations across all departments and locations, upholding OHS standards.

Leadership

: Lead and mentor managers and supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and growth.

About You



You're an experienced operations leader with a track record in manufacturing or production environments. You're comfortable managing managers, setting clear expectations, and building high-performing teams. You combine financial savvy with a practical, people-first approach.

You'll be stepping into a division with staff who may have been in the industry longer than you, so you bring

strong people management skills

--able to earn trust, listen well, and build credibility quickly. You're

grounded yet confident

, not afraid to challenge the status quo, and you approach operations with a

curious mindset

, observing carefully and asking the right questions to spot issues and opportunities for improvement.

What you bring:



Experience in

operations or manufacturing management

in similar or light manufacturing industries (e.g. textiles, wood, paper, packaging) Strong

financial acumen

with experience managing budgets and profitability Proven ability to

set and monitor KPIs

Skilled in

change management

and continuous improvement Strong

leadership and mentoring

abilities, especially with seasoned staff Knowledge of

OHS compliance

(OHS certification preferred) Knowledge of

EOS

(entrepreneurial operating system) and implementation (Good to have)

Pay: $72,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
