Security Building Supplies

, in Saskatoon, has an opportunity for the right individual.

The Operations Manager is responsible for the execution of sales. This encompasses the day-to-day operational components of the business. This individual will oversee all staff, excluding the sales and purchasing teams, and has the responsibility of finding ways to make the location more profitable by providing effective methods of operations. This position has a strong focus on quality customer service.

Working closely with the Sales Manager, this individual must ensure effective communication between all departments of the business.

FINANCIAL AND EXPENSES

Responsible for expense component of the division. Budget preparation with all departments. For example, production budgeting and scheduling. Financial Review: work closely with the Controller and Sales Manager on a monthly basis to review revenue and margining performance. Monitor sales performance, as it pertains to Operations.
COMMUNICATION AND STAFFING

Financial performance: Conduct regular meetings with Sales Manager to review monthly financial performance. Conduct regular meetings with Sales Manager, and key sales reps to monitor issues, upcoming events, and open order file. Conduct monthly meetings with Operations Managers from other locations to ensure best practices are in place. The Operations Managers must display strong leadership skills, resolving conflict quickly and efficiently with both the customer and company in mind.
CUSTOMER RELATIONS

Be comfortable meeting and speaking with all customers. Ensure staff acts professionally when dealing with all customers. Presenting themselves professionally in both manor and dress when attending customer facing events.
STAFFING AND TRAINING

To post for, interview, and monitor training of all employees in that location, excluding the sales team. To ensure all new hires have read and signed all employee documentation. Conduct semi-annual reviews with all staff members and ensure peak performance from all.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Manager oversees the policies and procedures as established for the Security Building Supplies brand. This individual will assist in developing policies and procedures for all locations and help ensure a consistent and positive brand message operationally.

To ensure that each department is operating at the highest level, all procedures are followed. The supervisor (if applicable) reports on day-to-day issues as they may arise.

Health and Safety: all guidelines and laws are followed. Warehouse management: shipping, receiving, and logistics. Equipment: schedule and monitor all maintenance programs and give recommendations for new equipment as needed. Building repair and maintenance: maintain the appearance and performance of the building. Inventory & Purchasing: Collaborate with the Purchasing Team to monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels, ensuring effective control over warranty items, discontinued goods, credits, and returns. Aligning Operational activities with purchasing activities within the location, including coordination with the Rebuyer, while maintaining a strong understanding of required stock levels and replenishment needs. Administration: stock transfers, invoicing, policies. Production: the analytics of the production capacity.
