The Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of Central Smith's Production and Mix Manufacturing. The Operations Manager will lead and supervise all Production, and Mix staff, monitor the efficient workflow from receiving, mix production, through conversion, to shipping. The Operations Manager will ensure all Health and Safety, Quality and Production KSI's are met and SOPs are adhered to. All variations to standard will be investigated and Root Cause and Countermeasures will be reported and implemented by the Operations Manager. Specific Accountabilities:
Oversee Central Smith Production and Mix manufacturing
Ensure the efficient flow of materials required to convert raw materials and packaging to finished goods
Ensure all GMP's, SSOP's and Quality Standards are adhered to and enforced
Initiate and Lead Continuous Improvement Efforts Production and Mix Manufacturing
Lead Central Smith's Joint Health and Safety Committee
Lead in Root Cause Analysis and follow up of any H/S, Q/C and Cost variation issues
Provide feedback and participate in planning Maintenance Planning for Production and Mix Manufacturing
Provide daily work direction to all frontline associates
Use technical systems for reporting and analytics
Lead daily performance meetings
Conduct performance coaching, provide individual feedback and issue corrective action
Make daily decision to impact and improve business
Handle all team performance and personal issues
Manage time and payroll systems
Other duties as required.
Health and Safety Accountabilities:
Must follow the protocols for attire when entering the manufacturing facility
Ensure uniforms are held to standard
Lead member of the Health and Safety Team
Report any incidents or accidents to the CEO and WSIB if needed
Acts as the Fire Marshall for the Operations Team, take attendance daily and is aware of who is in attendance

Qualifications, Education, Experience:
Post-Secondary education in business or related field or related experience
5+ years' experience in Supervision in Manufacturing and Operations
Experience in Coaching and Mentoring
Ability to Monitor Performance of a Team, drive accountability and corrective actions when required
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills, experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred
Working knowledge of Ontario Health and Safety Regulatory requirements
Technical knowledge and aptitude
Positive outlook, carry a value-based approach to leading our Team
Highly Organized and carry a strong attention to detail
Possess the ability to learn and grow within the role and demonstrate a passion for personal and professional development

Physical Effort:
Work activities require intermediate periods of moderate physical effort such as standing or sitting in one place or in a constrained physical position. Activities typically require a variety of muscle movements with frequent requirement for speed and coordination with medium weightlifting.
