We are partnered with an owner-operated manufacturer dedicated to delivering high-quality, customized solutions for their clients. With a collaborative team and a focus on delivering premium products, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our operations and ensure efficiency and excellence across all production functions.
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Manager to take charge of our day-to-day production, logistics, inventory, and quality assurance management.
Leadership & Accountability

• Lead, manage, and hold accountable team members across production, logistics, purchasing, shipping/receiving, and maintenance
• Foster alignment and team ownership through clear expectations, regular follow-ups, and performance feedback.
• Conduct annual and probationary reviews for staff, identifying training needs and driving continuous development.
• Participate in company-wide goal-setting and issue resolution during quarterly and annual planning meetings.

Production & Operations

• Design, optimize, and oversee production workflows, emphasizing customization processes and end-to-end efficiency.
• Develop clear and efficient build processes reflecting industry best practices (e.g., offset printing, custom manufacturing).
• Manage the entire production lifecycle, from raw material intake and customization to assembly, quality control, and final packaging/shipping.
• Continuously assess existing production methods to maximize yield, reduce waste, improve turnaround times, and enhance profit margins.
• Collaborate with Sales and Production teams to prioritize orders, ensuring 100% on-time delivery.

Logistics, Inventory, & Supply Chain

• Direct and optimize inventory turnover, implementing just-in-time purchasing to prevent bottlenecks.
• Enhance warehousing, shipping, and receiving processes to reduce delays and minimize costs.
• Build and maintain supplier partnerships to ensure raw material availability and smooth production workflows.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure all products meet or exceed quality standards, aligning with customer expectations.
• Utilize Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement tools to eliminate inefficiencies and enhance value-added work.
• Lead initiatives such as NCARs, A3 problem-solving activities, and internal audits, focusing on root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Performance Metrics & Cost Control

• Create and track KPIs for production efficiency, cost control, labour utilization, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Work with Finance to analyze department labour costs and implement resource-utilization improvements.
• Identify and lead cost-saving initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• 3+ years' proven experience in operations leadership in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies (certifications are a plus).
• Experience in production scheduling, logistics, inventory management, and quality assurance.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to coach, develop, and motivate a team.
