Operations Manager
to oversee the day-to-day operations of our facility and lead our production and packaging teams.
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, values efficiency, and can confidently manage both people and processes. You'll play a critical role in ensuring that our products are produced on time, in compliance, and to our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Workflow Scheduling
Plan and coordinate the daily and weekly schedule of the facility, including production, packaging, cleaning, and maintenance tasks
Production & Packaging Management
Develop and manage schedules to meet operational goals and inventory needs
Team Leadership
Supervise and support production and packaging staff, delegate tasks, and maintain an organized and efficient workflow
Facility Oversight
Manage all daily operations across cultivation, processing, and packaging areas to ensure smooth execution and productivity
Inventory & Compliance Support
Work closely with the compliance team to ensure accurate record-keeping, traceability, and inventory tracking
Problem Solving & Process Improvement
Identify operational challenges or inefficiencies and implement thoughtful, compliant solutions
Regulatory Adherence
Ensure all processes are compliant with Health Canada regulations and internal SOPs
Requirements
You must have either previous operations/production management experience or formal education in a related field
(logistics, supply chain, production, business operations, etc.)
Minimum 5 years of experience managing teams or overseeing operational processes (cannabis experience is an asset but not required)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight timelines
Familiarity with Health Canada cannabis regulations and GPP/SOP protocols is a plus
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a calm, solution-oriented mindset
Tech-savvy and comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and scheduling tools
Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (e.g., Ample Organics, GrowerIQ) is a bonus
