We are currently looking for a Operations Manager



POSITION OVERVIEW



Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing operation strategies, managing budget and resources, overseeing product development and project management, establishing quality control standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining company's technical infrastructure.

The Operations Manager stands out for their tactical vision and expertise. Their main challenge is to ensure the performance, profitability, and continuous improvement of the organization's operations by engaging personnel across the company. To achieve this, they oversee the plant's production activities and ensure their smooth execution, including all tasks related to production, equipment and infrastructure maintenance, and inventory management, with a strong focus on quality, HR management and meeting established targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Human Resource Management



Manage, support, evaluate, and coordinate team personnel in alignment with performance objectives, specifically by:

o Supporting team members in developing their skills and applying best practices to ensure sound human resource management across the organization.

o Ensuring that members of the team assume and carry their roles and responsibilities.

o Establishing and maintaining positive employee relations by fostering a sense of belonging and encouraging accountability for service and product quality.

o Setting up annual performance reviews as being an important and serious business process for the company.

o Ensuring ongoing communication with all members of the organization through regular meetings and touch points.

o Reacts to shortcomings regarding anticipated values, behaviors, and results by taking appropriate steps.

o Upholding occupational health and safety policies and standards across all activities and interactions.

Operations Planning & Project Management



Manage the Sales & Operations Planning process.

Allocate resources to meet the work plan and schedule requirements.

Oversee the progress of projects (costs, schedule and risks) to achieve established objectives.

Determine the internal stakeholders to be assigned to a project.

Approve change requests that could affect the planned output (costs/schedule/risks) of projects.

Endure payment from customers.

Coordinate the technical assistance to the client on-site and off-site

Engineering and operations management



Establishes processes, procedures, and protocols that members of the unit/team must follow.

Ensures that members of the unit/team follow processes, procedures, and protocols.

Keeps track of the team's priorities and readjusts them as needed.

Set up continuous improvement initiatives to improve the quality of services, products, and processes.

Develop annual objectives.

Oversee the designed solutions and consider the likelihood of gains and losses in the decision-making process.

Oversee the configuration management and life cycle of products.

Supply Chain Management and Production



Approve purchase orders for projects and function.

Sign off for final payment to suppliers.

Oversee proposed repair procedures in production.

Finance and business development



Establish the annual budget for the operations.

Manage expenses and cash flow as per established and approved budget.

Participate in the development of proposals to customers (technical and financial).

Key qualifications



Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering MBA (an asset)
Professional Experience

Minimum of 10 years of experience in the aerospace market in engineering. Minimum of 3-5 years in leading a team in a management. Experience in a flat rate project base organization is an asset. Mission base market knowledge is an asset (rescue, medical or other mission related).

Compensation and Benefits



Base salary: $95,000 to $115,000 CAD, depending on experience and qualifications

Bonus structure based on performance

Relocation support is available for the right candidate

Paid time off: 3 weeks of vacation annually
