As Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in managing the overall performance, maintenance, and repair of the grain at our Glencoe location. The Operations Manager will oversee quality control measures on incoming and outgoing shipments and the maintenance and compliance of a safe working environment as well as supervise all the facility assistants at the location.

Your day to day activities will include:

• Supervising the daily operation of the grain elevator facility and the Crop input Assets
• Supervising Elevator Operators and acting as the primary resource in the movement of grain
• Working with The Crop Inputs Team to successfully support the Crop Inputs Business
• Overseeing food safety compliance, completion of safety training and related documentation
• Support the buying of grain and selling of Crop Inputs.
• Managing regular maintenance, scheduling and repair on facility equipment;
• Ensure responsible business practices are followed consistently.

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the operation of a grain elevator including shipping/receiving, collecting and grading grain samples, customer service and mechanical repair
• Completion of a grain grading course would be an asset
• Knowledge and understanding of threats to storing grain and oilseed
• Demonstrates sound knowledge of elevator and Crop Input equipment
• Competency in grading wheat, Corn and Soybeans etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Accuracy and attention to detail required for record keeping
• Strong decision-making and problem solving skills
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Leadership and coaching skills
