About the Role:

Location: 75 Addiscott Court, Markham, ON The Maintenance Technician plays a key role at our facility headquarters. We're looking for someone who is diligent with a problem-solving attitude. As the Maintenance Technician you will be accountable for the facilities; ensuring packaging systems and equipment operate safely and in comply with safety regulations and company operating standards.

What You Will Be Doing:

Contribute to company/brand projects to improve efficiency using automation.

Experience with preventive maintenance programs, inventory, cost control & sourcing parts.

Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, analytical and problem-solving skills.

o

Must be available to support operations within a 24/7 operation.

Working with our Food Safety team to ensure all automated equipment is meeting regulatory standards. Performing preventive/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals. Training new hires according to a training plan for machine operation. Conducting machine calibration and run-to-failure maintenance activities. Maintaining and repairing distribution center racking, walkies, power trucks, dock doors and performing repairs in the facility for a clean and steady operation. Inspecting facility on a periodic interval for damage, fire extinguishers and exits to maintain our regulatory compliance and perform repairs as required. Supporting facilities and maintenance projects, programs and initiatives through appropriate maintenance scheduling. Practicing and adhering to Food Safety SOPs.

Maintain knowledge in mechanical and electrical trades, refrigeration, sanitation, storage equipment, and machinery.

At a Minimum, You Have...

Engineering degree, Certified Tradesperson, or related education. Minimum of 3 years of Facilities Maintenance experience and at least one year experience in a food processing/packing environment Skilled in using basic hand tools, power tools and measuring tools Ability to respond to tasks promptly and effectively Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (Calendar,Gmail,Docs,Sheets) and video conferencing (Hangouts Meet).
