This position provides overall team leadership for the crews and the assets they operate in the areas safety, quality, cost, productivity, continuous improvement, housekeeping/5S, good manufacturing practices (GMP), internal control, asset management, customer service, human resources, and team capability development. This position drives continuous improvement on the assets in close partnership with the Continuous Improvement (CI) & Capabilities, Reliability and Engineering teams at the manufacturing site and with the regional team. Incumbent will set objectives that will have a direct and significant impact on plant and sector results and in the delivery of customer service for Kimberly-Clark.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the loss control improvement process by championing and complying with critical safety rules.
  • Visibly demonstrate that safety is a core value by role modeling and ensuring compliance with safety procedures and maintaining a safe workplace.
  • Ensure that the development of processes, standards and equipment meets national, local, and K-C safety codes, policies and guidelines.
  • Own development of safety improvement plans.
  • Ensure safety investigations are completed and counter measures are in place per incident investigations standard, including ETQ documentation.
  • Demonstrate quality as a core value.
  • Responsible to use Quality System (ETQ) to document quality non-conformance
  • Responsible for understanding and holding team accountable for upholding K-C\'s Quality policy and standards.
  • Manage yourself in accordance with the Compass, Values and Ways of Working
  • Lead with mindful and awareness for safety
  • Drive partnerships and collaboration with other mill teams OPEX, Reliability, Training for Excellence teams to build capability within the Operations team.
  • Willingly adopt and advance company policies and standards.
  • Establish clear and concise strategic goals; and assign the resources and priorities to achieve those goals.
  • Build Talent in your team\'s Continuous Improvement Capability such as: Lean Basics, Problem Solving, 5S, Leader Standard Work, Visual Management.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to process leaders and asset teams. Arrange for proper support from reliability and platform engineers for plan of the day.
  • Manage cost of manufacturing (i.e. operating supplies, waste, labor, cost savings, etc.). Partner with reliability team to manage maintenance costs. Develop strategy and tools to deliver a budget.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
  • The incumbent would typically have significant experience in Operations, Business, Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and/or Maintenance.
  • Position typically requires a bachelor\'s in engineering, business, or relevant discipline of 3+ years of equivalent related experience.
  • Possess a strong understanding of operations role in the Supply Chain.
  • Model Ways of Working , Culture of Coaching and Accountability .
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge in the people management and/or technical areas of expertise (or aptitude to learn) described in the role.
  • Incumbent would possess demonstrated ability to organize, influence and lead a multi-functional team and foster a proactive team environment.
  • Experience in multiple mills, product systems and staff experience, along with leadership of a non-exempt workforce is an asset.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with individuals across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficient in LEAN business practices.
  • Normal scheduled hours will vary based on the need to support a 24/7 Operation
  • Flexibility to travel up to 15% for benchmarking and best practice sharing across KCNA.
