Operations & Digital Marketing Coordinator The Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau (CSSB) is the recognized authority in the cedar shake and shingle industry since 1915. CSSB as an association represents its cedar shake and shingle members throughout North America. Each year CSSB\xe2\x80\x99s staff answer thousands of technical questions and product selection queries. Offering informed Certi-Wood\xc2\xae advice, the responsibility for educating the public and building code officials falls on the CSSB. There is an immediate opening for a passionate, strong communicator who can work as an operations co-ordinator taking responsibility of all office administrative tasks; also, generate key messages and dynamic social content for our digital marketing. This position will generate blogs/articles, media posts about latest seminars and work done by CSSB members as well as update/get new posts on social media outlets. Another very important part of the job revolves around administrative duties which are essential to efficiently run the daily operations at CSSB. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this candidate will run/maintain our digital marketing channel (create SEO content, generate/push daily social media posts) and take responsibility of the administrative duties to run the association efficiently.   • Answer incoming calls to CSSB from members/outside enquiries.
  • Take charge of the main CSSB email where you will be responding/coordinating with other staff to answer enquiries.
  • Filing vendors/members payables/receivables.
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Collections (requesting necessary information from bookkeeper).
  • Issuing membership certificate when payment received.
  • Membership update forms (Access database).
  • Account communications with members \xe2\x80\x93 ensuring policies & procedures are in place.
  • Send out membership application forms/help to fill out applications & process paperwork.
  • Warranty Administration - Process limited lifetime warranty applications/transfers.
  • Tradeshows & AIA
  • Register & plan for tradeshows and coordinate with district managers.
  • Primary contact for AIA program/sign certificates, ensure compliance with program.
  • Assist in preparing PowerPoint presentations when needed for AIA.
  • Board Meetings/AGM \xe2\x80\x93 Assist in special events to secure boardrooms, registrations, transportation etc.
  • Assist with managing bureau documentation and employee travel requirements if necessary.
  • Other Duties \xe2\x80\x93 As assigned based on needs of the CSSB. Expandable role as needed.
Digital Marketing \xe2\x80\x93
  • Optimize, update, generate posts and manage our social digital channels.
  • Develop and coordinate digital marketing campaigns and content publishing calendars to support corporate objectives.
  • Plan, produce and publish a variety of digital content that drives engagement, brand awareness and increases audience reach.
  • Respond to reviews and feedback on various online channels from customers/viewers.
Essential Skills and Experience \xe2\x80\x93
  • Computer Literate \xe2\x80\x93 Need to be fully competent in MS word, Excel and Power Point \xe2\x80\x93 database experience would be an asset.
  • Undergraduate diploma/degree or community college.
  • Previous experience in similar environment i.e., office administration & digital communication.
  • Fluent in English, written and oral \xe2\x80\x93 professional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects under strict deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and a team player.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and a passion for marketing and content creation.
  • Has valid BC Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and reliable vehicle to get to/from work and perform occasional errands.
  • Current passport or willingness to obtain same.
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $24.00-$28.00 per hour Benefits:
