Operations Development Leader

Georgia-Pacific is currently seeking an Operations Development Leader to lead technical and process development initiatives at the Englehart, Ontario Oriented Strand Board (OSB) manufacturing facility.

This position will focus on working with division and facility resources, industry leading content developers, and our internal Collaboration and Support Center (CSC) team to develop modern prioritized training content; intuitive process and asset health alerts; and process simulations for critical assets. Additionally, the role will focus on growing and expanding Leader Standard Work initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Work with and through front-line resources to prioritize process and technical development opportunities, then action them.

• Identify and work with industry leading third party training and development to create content.

• Expand the value of Digital Process Optimization (DPO) alerting by incorporating troubleshooting guides and possible solutions directly into alerts.

• Work with facility and other resources to apply Matterport 3D scanning to accelerate process knowledge and troubleshooting skills.

• Work with key OEMs to establish process and asset knowledge certifications.

• Connect site leaders to Leader Standard Work and updating expectations with prioritization of verification and validation, developing direct reports, key risks and time management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience in Manufacturing Operations

• Exposure to leadership/supervisory roles

• Strong data analytic skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Willing and able to travel periodically to the United States

• Experience in Wood Production/Building Materials Operations

• Experience building operational troubleshooting material

• Experience in Digital Process Optimization
