Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized
Operations Coordinator - Construction Services
to join our Red Deer team. This role is critical in ensuring smooth execution of daily operations, supporting our project superintendents, and keeping our construction services division running efficiently.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with experience in HR processes, logistics, fleet management, and dispatch, who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Offboarding:
Oversee and coordinate the onboarding process for new hires and de-hiring of craft labor, operators, and trades personnel.
Recruitment Support:
Manage and oversee our Indeed account for Construction Services to post jobs, screen applicants, and support hiring needs.
Resource Coordination:
Maintain and update the employee list and locations; provide weekly reports of available resources and project gaps, and work proactively to fill those gaps.
Dispatch & Scheduling:
Coordinate and dispatch personnel and equipment to project sites, ensuring timely support to field teams.
Fleet & Equipment:
Arrange and schedule regular maintenance and upkeep of fleet vehicles and construction equipment.
Operations Support:
Provide ongoing assistance to the Operations Manager, ensuring smooth execution of tasks and operational excellence.
Field Support:
Assist project superintendents with logistics, coordination, and resource allocation to meet client demands.
Compliance & Records:
Manage carrier profiles and support NSC driving compliance, ensuring regulatory standards are met.
Subcontractor Management:
Support the engagement and coordination of subcontractors as required.
Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years of experience in a similar operations, coordination, or dispatch role within construction or industrial services.
Strong background in
HR administration
and workforce management.
Experience with
subcontractor management
and coordination.
Solid knowledge of
fleet management
and scheduling of equipment.
Proven ability in
dispatching personnel and equipment
across multiple projects.
Familiarity with
NSC compliance
and carrier profile management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with workforce or fleet management software considered an asset.
Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $70,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
