We are seeking a highly organized and resourceful

Operations Coordinator

to support and oversee daily administrative, logistics, and operational activities at the Commissary Kitchen. Reporting to the Director and Plant Manager, this role ensures smooth communication, efficient processes, and strong support for both production and retail teams.

Key Responsibilities



Coordinating day-to-day commissary operations and acting as a central point of contact across teams Providing executive-level support to the Director and Plant Manager (scheduling, correspondence, reporting, meeting minutes) Managing records and data entry for invoicing, expenses, employee files, and maintenance logs Overseeing delivery logistics, including scheduling and supervising a team of ~5 delivery drivers and liaising with third-party logistics partners Supporting HR functions such as onboarding, training administration, record keeping, and assisting with hiring/disciplinary documentation Acting as first point of contact for customer inquiries, including handling a high volume of catering calls during the holiday season Maintaining and updating company systems and databases (e.g., ERP, ADP, inventory tools) to support staff and operations Coordinating events, activities, and team communication to strengthen collaboration and efficiency Following up on maintenance and facility needs to ensure equipment and infrastructure remain in good working order Performing additional duties as required to support commissary and companywide operations

Requirements



3+ years' experience in operations, office administration, or coordination, ideally in grocery retail, food service, or production environments Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced workloads Proven experience supporting logistics and driver scheduling HR administration experience an asset (hiring, onboarding, employee records) Tech-savvy, proficient in MS Office and comfortable learning new systems (experience with ERP, ADP, or scheduling tools is an asset) Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a customer-service focus Resourceful, proactive, and adaptable with strong problem-solving skills Post-secondary education in Business, Operations, Administration, or related field preferred Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime during peak holiday seasons
