Job Description

The CanCap Group ("CanCap") is a privately-owned Canadian Financial Services company with multiple verticals across automotive, consumer, and merchant lending portfolios. We manage the entire lifecycle of the finance receivable from credit adjudication through to contract administration, customer service, default management and post charge-off recoveries.

We are currently looking for an experienced individual with exceptional multi-tasking and interpersonal skills to join our Mississauga based Operations team.

What your day and week could look like:


Working closely with the Director of Servicing & Operations,

the Operations Coordinator

plays a key role in fulfilling time-sensitive financial transaction processing and loan maintenance functions. This includes:

Payment posting, NSF processing and handling of daily banking files Processing account adjustments, due date changes, charge off's, fee application Processing vehicle repossession files according to company policies and agreements with third party Processing bailiff and auction fees/remittances Generating invoices to be sent to external partners Communicating closely between Operations, Finance and Remarketting departments, as well as with third party affiliates Process and remit Insurance and Warranty rebates Handling incoming mail and courier items for multiple lines of business Depositing cheques through electronic deposit process, and tracking of cheques received Handling pay-out requests and letter of lien release Investigating missing pay-out cheques, or unapplied payments Unwinding deals and Clawbacks (Dealer reserve and quality bonus). Administration and release of vehicle lien registrations. Responding to emails from dealer partners and sales team to provide customer service as needed. Ensuring that all company policies and government guidelines are respected throughout the workflow process Monitoring internal email request inbox. Ability to execute on necessary tasks and effectively communicate back outcome to necessary parties. Managing daily reports in excel form and tracking SLA. Completing file audits of funded deals Creating and maintaining process documentation Other tasks as required.

What you bring:

Two (2) to five (5) years financial services processing experience or a combination of education and/or customer service experience. Operations experience an asset. Fluent ability to communicate business information in English. Supreme satisfaction in achieving a high degree of accuracy within a fast-paced environment. Good attention to detail is essential to being successful in this role. Ability to juggle competing priorities with a sense of urgency, while remaining calm and controlled in the face of challenges. Confident at problem solving, analytical thinking, and common-sense decision making. Motivation and drive towards continuous learning and growth within your role and the company Dedicated team player who takes pride in assisting and supporting others. Ability to be adaptable to changes in priorities, duties and processes. Upbeat and results-oriented team contributor. Dependability, self-motivation, and personal accountability. Able to work in office, at Mississauga location. Accomplished user with Excel, Word, and Outlook

Additional Information

Due to certain tasks that must be completed in person, this role is required to be available to work in office Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm. This role is currently set up as a hybrid role, with a requirement to be in office 50% of the time.
