The Opportunity
We are currently hiring a Full-Time Operations Cartage & Interline Administrator at our Headquarters in Winnipeg. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Trappers Asset and non Asset Fleet Operations Monday to Friday in an administrative capacity. They will work with co-workers and vendors to problem solve existing issues and improve operational efficiency while providing exceptional communication to internal and external stakeholders.
Duties
Oversee daily cartage and interline activities to ensure efficient and accurate execution of the agreements in place
Track and trace shipments with interline carriers and cartage agents while escalating any service disruptions to account managers and operations management in a timely fashion
Update and maintain all interline and cartage trip details in the operating software
Prepare, review, and issue load confirmations, including revisions for accessorial charges in consultation with Account Managers, Logistics Coordinators, Planners, Team Leaders and Operations Management
Collect, review, and audit proofs of delivery (PODs) and signed bills of lading (BOLs) from outstanding reports
Provide operational support for order entry, pick-up and delivery appointment scheduling, tracking and tracing and warehouse holiday coordination
Ensure carriers provide equipment condition and load securement photos as necessary
Crosstrain with Account Managers to ensure adequate coverage during absences
Identify and implement process improvements within cartage and interline workflows through proper communication and authority parameters
Provide superior attention to detail and accurate inputs and details into the operating software
Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across the operations function
Perform other duties as assigned
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
-Highschool diploma or (GED)
-1+ years' experience in a similar role in the commercial freight transportation industry
-Exceptional problem solving and time management skills
-Ability to manage & prioritize the daily responsibilities using mufti-tasking skills.
-Strong skillset with Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
-Ability to function in a fast- paced work environment
