Job Purpose

In-house operations assistant - warehouse utility worker of inventory, shipping and receiving items

Duties and Responsibilities

Pulling, filling, packing, and setting up orders for delivery or pickup Maintain the ability to determine the status of an order at any given time Follow any special instructions pertaining to an individual order Receive shipments, log into inventory, pick all pops, and maintain inventory through audits Handles domestic and international shipping, ensures proper packaging, and manages supply orders Report any quality or inventory discrepancy issues to the appropriate person Communicate positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers, and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up and process returns accurately Assist in keeping the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently Follow all established policies and safety guidelines Assist in keeping the facility secure and follow company policies and procedures Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required Present a neat and professional image and other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Understands basic inventory, warehouse, and stocking procedures Competent written and verbal English communication skills Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel) Comfortable in fast-paced environment Accuracy and attention to detail Able to work independently with some direction Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures Ability to multitask by handling multiple assignments, both routine and urgent

Formal Education and/or Training Required

High school diploma or GED

Working Environment and Physical Requirements

Stand/walk on concrete floor for duration of work hours Lift/carry/maneuver heavy material or equipment (up to 50 lbs.) Warehouse environment with temperature variations Exposure to some hazardous chemicals (paint, solvents)
