Within our organization, the Operations department controls the inventory and repositioning of assets. We use Import and Export forecasts to determine if assets are needed locally or should be repositioned to deficit areas regionally and overseas. Other responsibilities include coordination of off hire/sale unit terminations, monitoring depots for timely repairs of damaged units, Terminals and depots in the South Atlantic Region accountable for inventory accuracy and releasing assets using FIFO (first in, first out) method.

Job duties (but not limited to):
Provide trade and sales with routing and cost options over multiple gateways or services.
Assist in managing all aspects of Regional Operations for OOCL (Terminals, Rails, Motor Carriers, Empty Flows, Suppliers, and Intermodal Shipments).
Collaboration cross functionally on system development and process change to meet regional requirements. e.g. Supplier Portal, N2C3, etc.
Support our Sales and Customer Service departments to meet business objectives.
Assist with identifying and maximizing cost efficiencies, capturing costs savings, and monthly reporting.
Exception management including but not limited to cargo surveys, trans-loads, over weights, DG and awkward cargo applications.
Liaison between OOCL M&R and vendors to repair damaged equipment.
Preferred skills:
Supervisory experience in a team environment
Understanding of Terminal/Rail systems
Attention to Detail
Negotiation abilities
Flexibility and ability to adapt to changes
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- heavy Excel
Leadership and Management Experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be able to prioritize and manage multiple projects
2-5 Years of Operations experience
