About the opportunity:
The Operations Analyst a.k.a. Production Optimization Analyst provides analytical support to
Plant Finance
in preparation and analysis of month end results
within deadlines & costing of new products, assistance with the preparation of annual budget, operating results and inventory control, mass balance & yield data collection, analysis, and optimization. The Production Optimization Analyst is also responsible for all aspects of inventory control and reconciliation of liquid milk-based, cream, and whey-based products.
The attributes we are looking for:
Verify production by producing analysis on key performance indicators such as manufacturing production, yield and variances, and trending.
Produce reports on plant variances by extracting and analyzing production data from SAP, investigating root cause of variances, and providing explanation.
Maintain data in SAP including entering data, creating process orders and transactions, and validating and investigating accuracy of information.
Perform manufacturing analytical procedures such as maintaining White Liquid and Whey Liquid mass balances and by tracking the flow of product incoming and outgoing of plant areas to understand losses and determine root causes.
Maintain TRS/OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) of departments by gathering activity data from production lines and analyzing variances to determine line efficiency
What you will bring:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or post secondary education in Material Management
Two (2) years' experience in manufacturing industry (Dairy business preferred) in detailed material cost control analysis (yields/ mass balance)
Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office products, as well as SAP R3.
Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
Knowledge of BOM's and Recipes in order to provide analysis and support to Manufacturing
Strong analytical ability of inventory, production
