Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.


We are currently searching for an experienced, professional and customer focused Operations Administrator to support our Operations team at our Corporate Office in Halifax, NS. Reporting to the Operations Analyst, this role will help support various special projects and daily administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

:

Administration of maintenance vehicles/fleet program; Assist with energy rebate research and application, both provincially and federally; Asset recording and administration; Maintenance and organization of the department's sharepoint system; Reviewing contract fees to ensure accuracy pricing; Other administrative reports and duties, as required; Special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications

:

Bachelor's degree in office administration or a related field, or 2-3 years working in a similar role; Experience with Asset Management and data entry; Professional communication skills, both oral and written; Proficient with Microsoft Office and Sharepoint; Knowledge of green energy rebate programs would be considered an asset; Experience working with Yardi, or similar capital processing system, would be considered an asset; Ability to work well in a team but can also complete self-directed projects; Willingness to learn new skills and take on new tasks; Previous property management experience would be considered an asset.
